Volunteering is central to the way we do things at Oxford City farm. People come from all walks of life to share their skills and enthusiasm, learn and make connections with others.
“I volunteer at Oxford City Farm because it’s a lovely place, it’s sociable and I want to help in my community.”
These sessions will offer an opportunity for people of all ages to get involved with some hands-on jobs on the farm or simply to come and enjoy the space and meet and feed the animals and have a cup of tea.
Everyone is welcome, especially families (Please note adults will be responsible for their children's wellbeing and supervision at all times).
Having an idea of numbers via Eventbrite is really helpful for our planning, but you're still welcome to come to the Farm if you can't book on Eventbrite. We ask all new volunteers to complete this form.
If you're coming to volunteer, please come at the beginning to get the list of jobs and introduction.
If you are planning to visit the farm with a group of 8 or more please get in touch with us in advance on info@oxfordcityfarm.org.uk
Community Farming and Open Farm Sessions - every Friday & Saturday 10am - 1pm
We run a goat milking programme with volunteers paying an annual fee of £70 per household to join - for more information check out the Goat Milking Programme page.
Do you enjoy chatting to people and sharing recipes? We’re on the lookout for an extra pair of hands on a Saturday to help with our cafe and produce stall which is open weekly from 10am until 1pm. No experience is necessary and you don’t need to commit to every Saturday. If you are interested fill in our volunteer form and express an interest in the cafe and our Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch!
