We want to grow our trustee team - could you be our next Chair of Trustees?

Would you like to join us? We are a friendly, committed and hands on group of people who work together to ensure the Charity is well governed, meets its legal and financial obligations and continues to grow and develop to meet the needs of the community.

At Oxford City farm being a Trustee is a hands on affair - we work together with staff and in consultation with our volunteers and beneficiaries to set the strategic direction of the Farm, and support a small paid staff team and key volunteers to realise identified objectives. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to support the delivery of our strategy and mission at board level. You don’t necessarily need to have past experience as a Chairperson of a charity as training can be provided.  We are particularly keen to strengthen relationships and projects with other local groups and reflect the views and voices of our diverse community at a governance level.

Time, a commitment and a passion for the farm are key, so if you have other skills and experience we would still love to hear from you. We truly want to be representative of our community so whatever your background, if you’re interested please contact us.

  • Time commitment is approx 1-2 day per month to include one to one meetings with the Farm Lead and monthly Trustee meetings.

  • We are also looking to recruit. The full role description is linked below. We envisage the time commitment for this role will be up to 2 days per month.

Our current Chair of Trustees is also the Farm’s fundraising trustee – and needs to step back from the Chair role to focus on fundraising. She will stay on in both roles until we are able to recruit and alongside other Trustees, and will provide support to any incoming Chair to be successful.

If you are interested in a Trustee role. Please read the document:
