IWeWant to Grow our Trustee Board
Would you like to join us? We are a friendly, committed and hands on group of people who work together to ensure the Charity is well governed, meets its legal and financial obligations and continues to grow and develop to meet the needs of the community.
At Oxford City farm being a Trustee is a hands on affair - we work together with staff and in consultation with our volunteers and beneficiaries to set the strategic direction of the Farm, and support a small paid staff team and key volunteers to realise identified objectives
To compliment the current skill set in the current Trustee group we are particularly looking for people who have and experience of working in the following areas: Community business/ social enterprise development; HR; Policy development, food production and the environment; social inclusion. Time, a commitment and a passion for the farm are key, so if you have other skills and experience we would still love to hear from you. Young people and people from BAME communities are currently under represented on our board so we would love to hear from you if this sounds like you.
Time commitment is approx 1 day per month to include monthly Trustee meetings and support of working groups.
We are also looking to recruit a Vice-chair who will work closely with the current chair, take a lead on particular areas of work, step in to chair meetings and deputise as appropriate. The full role description is linked below. We envisage the time committment for this role will be up to 2 days per month.
