Come and Have Fun on the Farm!
Oxford City Farm is delighted to have won an award from the Big Lottery Fund to help us celebrate securing a wonderful new green space for the community. This is a FREE event and is open to all – we especially want to bring together lovely supporters and volunteers to say a big ‘thank you’!
We will be celebrating with the following:
- live music from local musicians and acoustic open mic
- farm animals
- games and activities for children
- lots of yummy food from Coopers Pork, Full Vegan Jacket and The Bread Midwife
- bar from The Jolly Postboys
- apple pressing (please bring apples if you would like to juice them) from Abundance Oxford
- face painting
There will also be opportunities to talk to us about our plans for the site and to input your ideas.
To reduce waste (partly because we have no refuse facilities and because it is better for the planet) if you can, please BRING A PLATE, CUP AND CUTLERY!
We are looking for volunteers to help at the event – if you could spare a bit of time or can bake a cake for our cake stall – please sign up here
Please note, there is NO PARKING on site.

We are having a ‘Great Get Together‘ event on the Oxford City Farm site on Saturday 17th June from 2pm to 5pm. This is an opportunity to get to know neighbours, young and old. We are really hoping that some of the residents from the Isis Care home will come and join us.
Bring a cup an a plate and something edible to contribute to a fabulous afternoon tea down on the Oxford City Farm.
The Great Get together is inspired by Jo Cox who reminded us that we have more in common than what divides us. The Great Get Together events will be happening all over the country this weekend (16th to 18th June 2017).
Any questions please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Find out more at The Great Get Together website.
This will be the second of two Saturday ‘Meet the Bees’ sessions at the Oxford City Farm.
During the session you will learn about the ecology of the honey bee and look inside our hives with qualified beekeeper, Elly Patullo and Oxford City Farm Trustee Phil Pritchard.
We will provide bee suits for participants and serve refreshments during a question and answer session after the hive investigation.
The sessions will start at 11am and last for about 2 hours. We are asking for a donation of £10 – £30 (depending on your income) to attend and all money raised will go to support our work at Oxford City Farm.
Sessions are open to adults and children.
N.B. children must be accompanied by an adult and we do have two small suits suitable for primary school aged children so please let us know if you need them.
Also the sessions are weather dependent.
You will need to book your place and pay a donation before the event. Please download the ‘Meet the Bees’ booking form and add your details.
If you have any questions please e-mail Phil Pritchard at email@example.com
