We are recruiting for our new Farm Director – Could you be our inspirational leader?

We are seeking a dynamic, enterprising and inspirational leader to take the Farm to its next stage of development.

Operating from our beautiful 2.3 acre site, we provide highly valued opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to engage with farming and food production, animals, nature and each other.

We currently have three part-time staff and an active and committed group of volunteers and Trustees.

Our organisation has put down strong roots and has huge potential to grow. This is an exciting time to join the team in this transformative role.

Oxford City Farm is recruiting!

Part time Community Grower

We are excited to be able to announce that due to a grant from the Postcode Local Trust we are recruiting a part time self-employed community grower – 1.5 days per week to work collaboratively with our existing community grower.

The job entails running regular volunteering sessions to support food production and site development and to include the “Wild Edges” project to create a productive wildlife edge, restore the pond and create a rain garden on site.

Treasurer Trustee

We are also seeking to recruit a Treasurer Trustee

This is an great  opportunity to put your skills and experience to work for the benefit of the whole community. Join our skilled, committed and friendly Trustee team. Working to ensure the continued success of this vibrant and valued community led charity you will take a strategic lead on financial matters.  Reviewing accounts, forecasting, budgeting and monitoring charity finances and managing the volunteer book keeper.

This is a voluntary position. Time commitment 2-4 hours per week.

AUTUMN FESTIVAL ACTIVITIES AND LINEUP ANNOUNCED!

Come and help us celebrate Autumn and the harvest down on the Farm.

This is a FREE family friendly event with music, farm animals, stalls, face painting, apple pressing, pumpkins and honey for sale and lots, lots more…..

This year we are bigging up the BEES – with a bee information trail and quiz.

There’s going to be lots of great MUSIC from theThe Dead Beat Apostles Band of Hope,Les Clochards, Oxford Ukuleles and the  Sea Green Singers.

There will be YUMMY FOOD from Taste Tibet, Waste 2 Taste, Pizza Midwife and Coopers BBQ and the Jolly Postboy’s BAR as well as the tasty treats at the City Farm tea tent.

PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE to the event – there is no parking on site and very limited on street parking – PLEASE BUS IT, WALK IT AND BIKE IT

ENTRANCE – is at the Iffley Rd end of Cornwallis Rd OX4 3NH.

NO DOGS – apart from assistance dogs.
